Go red Luncheon
First off I want to apologize for the fact that I haven't been able to blog a lot lately. I have been incredibly ill. I had c. diff again for the third time in a year and the doctor put me on anabiotic-which did not work the first time then lowered the dose that worsened it, and then doubled the dose- and now I'm finally better. I still have horrible pain. He did a sigmoidoscopy and everything looks okay so that's good but I still have the pain and I go back to the doctor next week. I did eat some real food today though so we'll see how that goes.
Tuesday was my big event. It was the American Heart Association luncheon. They showed a eight minute video about my life and then I gave a five-minute speech it was intense- But it was amazing at the same time. My mom and my neighbor Rachel went with me and it was awesome. The American Heart association decorated the room so amazingly it was honestly breathtaking. There were over 700 people there gathered to learn about women's heart health and donate to a good cause. I cried. The standing ovation they gave me really got to me. I cannot say enough good things about the American Heart Association. They are really a wonderful organization.
Then yesterday I had to go to the dress fitting for a fashion show The association is putting on next week, none of the dresses fit so I ended up having to wear pants and a shirt. My legs are too long and all the dresses looked a little slutty.
Today is the first time I'm actually biking in over a week. I've been so weak and tired and sick. Sometimes it's hard not to get frustrated but I'm doing my best.
Next week I see the cardiologist to ask for the new type of pacemaker and to once again ask for the new medication that was just approved to treat tachycardia. I also go and see the G.I. doctor and I get my Botox for my migraines. It will be a busy week.
My main man, my hero, my dad is in the hospital currently....it sucks being helpless not being able to fix someone. I just want him to be all better, he has a bad infection in his throat. :( pray for him please.
I guess that's about all I've got going on in the world I'm still incredibly fatigued but I'm trying to hold out and do my best. Much love. Here are a few photos from the last week.
